Configuring Your Browser to Read Vietnamese Fonts
Unicode Standard
To read, you should have Times New Roman font (version 2.76 or later) installed with Windows-98 / Me / NT / 2000 in your machine. In addition, you should adjust your web browser as following:
- For IE 4.x or higher: View -- Encoding (or: Fonts) -- Unicode/Universal Alphabet (UTF-8)
- For Netscape 4.7 or higher: View -- Encoding (or: Character Set) - Unicode (UTF-8)
VNI FONTS
Launch Netscape for Version 4.5:
Edit, Preferences, Click Fonts (under Appearance),
For the Encoding: Western
Variable Width Font: VNI-Times, Size 12
Fixed Width Font (leave as default)
Now you're ready to browse the Vietnamese Forums.Launch Internet Explorer for version 4.0:

OK, OKThere are certain Vietnamese Web pages which utilize fonts other than VNI such as VPS, VISCII, and VIQR. In order to set up your browser to view these fonts, you will have to download and install these fonts from the websites. After installing these Vietnamese fonts, you will have to follow the above directions to run setup for your Internet browser.
